What is Fields of OpportunityFields of Opportunity was created, in partnership with NVUSD and NVEF to connect high school students with our largest local industry to explore rewarding career options in their own backyard. Participants will have a range of academic trajectories and come from various programs including alternative programs and independent study. All will benefit from support and direction to build their skills and the chance to envision a brighter future. If you would like to impact a young life by introducing them to the wine industry and sharing your passion for the field, this program is for you.

Why be a Mentor
Most of us have had somebody in our life who helped us along in our careers. Somebody who gave us advice that helped us on our path. Fields of Opportunity is your opportunity to do this for a local high school student who is just starting to think about their future.
Some students in this program know they are interested in the wine industry and others are simply interested in learning what it is all about. This is an incredible opportunity to share what you know and love and welcome local students to join you. |
Why Should Students Participate
Whether you know you want to work in the wine industry or you are just interested in learning more -this program is for you. This is an opportunity to learn from the leaders of the wine industry who believe in the future of our valley and want to invest in the young people who live here.
In addition, you will get to learn alongside a cohort of like-minded students and begin to develop what kind of leader and professional you want to be in the world. Not only is the mentorship paid, but it is an opportunity to invest in yourself for the summer, to open and expand your horizons, and to dream big. We are here to support you through that process, to make sure that your summer is everything you hoped for and more. |
